He has composed scores for Frozen, Ant-Man and The Hangover. Now Christophe Beck is writing the music for ViQueens.
Canadian composer Christophe Beck wrote the instrumental scores for Frozen and Frozen II. His credits also include Ant-Man, The Hangover and Free Guy. These films range from expansive fantasy worlds to comedies, each with a very different musical character.
Beck is a familiar collaborator for Harald and Veslemøy Ruud Zwart. He previously composed the music for The Pink Panther 2 and The 12th Man. Their collaboration continues with ViQueens, this time on an animated family adventure.
The story has room for both epic journeys and personal encounters. Ingrid and Hedvig leave Lofotr and travel through a world that keeps growing around them. Along the way, their friendship and the assumptions they brought from home are challenged. Together with the images, voices and sound design, the music will shape how audiences experience that journey.
Beck’s filmography reflects his experience with both spectacle and intimacy. In ViQueens, there is room for action, humour and warmth — as well as the moments when the girls discover something that changes how they see the world.
