Ella Purnell, Rita Ora and Alan Carr are among the voices of ViQueens in English. Our cast brings together actors and artists from international television, animation, music and British comedy.
Ella Purnell voices Ingrid. The British actress is known for Fallout and Yellowjackets, and has already made her mark in animation as the voice of Jinx in Arcane. Her performance in the show’s first season earned her an Annie Award. In ViQueens, she lends her voice to the king’s daughter from Lofotr.
Rita Ora plays Hedvig. Alongside her international career as a singer and songwriter, she has worked as an actress and television personality. Audiences also know her as a judge on The X Factor and The Masked Singer. In our film, she voices Ingrid’s fearless travelling companion.
British comedian and presenter Alan Carr plays the Bard. Carr is particularly well known for his talk show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, which brought together interviews and comedy across 16 series. In ViQueens, audiences meet him as the king’s troubadour.
Steve Speirs voices King Erik. He created the comedy series The Tuckers and stars in it as Glyn Tucker. Michele Moran, whose credits include the television series The Hardacres, plays Helga. Anton Lesser voices Uncle Lars. Lesser is known for playing Qyburn in Game of Thrones and Chief Superintendent Reginald Bright in Endeavour.
For director Harald Zwart, the interaction between the actors was an important part of the process. Actors were brought together in the studio to capture spontaneity, overlapping dialogue and their chemistry. The aim was to carry the energy of those exchanges into the animation.
The voice performances help shape the characters’ personalities, from big emotions to the smallest nuances of a line.
We look forward to audiences hearing the result and discovering the English cast’s interpretation of the world of ViQueens.
ViQueens will be available in Norwegian and English language versions and opens in Norway on 25 December 2026.
